Community Arts Walkway
Current Exhibition: Scapes
SERC - Level 2 Traineeship in Art & Design
Community Arts Walkway Thursday 6th - Saturday 29th November 2025
To celebrate the creativity and potential of new painters at the start of their artistic journey. To provide students with their first experience of exhibiting work publicly. To showcase a variety of paintings exploring the theme of ‘Scapes’—from landscapes to imaginative environments. To build students’ confidence and pride in their developing skills. To engage viewers with fresh perspectives from emerging artists.
The exhibition was created as part of the students’ transversal skills development, specifically linked to their work placement experience. It offers a real-world opportunity to plan, curate, and present artwork in a public setting, building confidence, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. It also allows students to reflect on their creative growth and share their achievements with the wider community.
Community Arts has its own dedicated exhibition space at ISLAND Arts Centre to showcase local community group talent so why not become part of our creative scene and sign up for an exhibition today!
