HAND-DYED SILK SCARF
Tutor: Angela Turkington
Date: Saturday 3 May
Time: 10.30am - 4pm
Cost: £70
Work with botanicals to create unique prints on luxurious silk.
Over the course of the day you will learn how to create beautiful botanical prints through experimentation with flowers and plants. The samples you create will help you to build your own, uniquely designed hedgerow image, and form the inspiration for your scarf design.
The process involves rolling your silk very tightly around a dowel or pipe, using both hands. You need average strength to be able to do this successfully.
You will take away lots of knowledge, a new skill, your samples and a beautiful, bespoke silk scarf.
If you require any refreshments and/or a lunch, we recommend that you bring them along with you as we do not have facilities beyond vending machines on-site.
