MASTERCLASS IN CHILDREN’S ANIMATION

In this workshop, illustrator and creator Corrina Askin shares her artistic process, showcasing how she brings illustrations to life by layering traditional drawings in Photoshop and Procreate. You will look at contemporary animation techniques to highlight the diversity of styles and multidisciplinary approaches available today.

We will explore contemporary animation styles and try drawing exercises inspired by poetry, music and sounds. Then we’ll collaborate on a joint piece, perhaps a concertina book, before developing an idea through to animation using iPads. Corrina will build in time for one-on-one feedback on personal projects and give tips on creative resources like Children’s Books Ireland and more.

If you require any refreshments and/or a lunch, we recommend that you bring them along with you as we do not have facilities beyond vending machines on-site.
