Jason Rouse is an Irish artist living and working in Cardiff, Wales. In Rouse's work, digital and traditional arts converge, creating unexpected, surprising results. Rouse has painted game landscapes, developed interactive games, and experimented with generative spaces.

Rouse was a finalist for the 2018 Lumen Prize for Digital Art, been selected for 2019 Bloomberg New Contemporaries and recently received a Wales Art International grant for SWITCHed, an exchange programme between Arcade Cardiff and Galerie RDV, Nantes.

"My recent paintings have stemmed from a residency in SHIFT, Cardiff, where I developed some work looking at the relationship between contemporary landscape painting in Northern Ireland, internet sharing culture, and the traditional folk art of the region."

The artist's work is held in private collections including Office of Public Works, Dublin, Ireland, and Slade School of Fine Art UCL, London, United Kingdom.
