Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council’s King's Coronation ‘Great Gardens’ Watercolour Competition & Exhibition: Terms and Conditions
Submissions are welcomed from applicants living and aged 18 years or over on 3rd March 2023 and who are residents of the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council area;
Submissions MUST follow the theme of the competition, ‘Great Gardens,’ and not have been previously exhibited or have been created 3 years previous to 28th April 2023;
Submissions are restricted to a maximum of 2 entries per Artist and combined entries are not eligible;
Submissions MUST original, made by the applicant, be two dimensional not exceeding 100cm x 100cm and be in watercolour or any other water-based media or a combination of both, for example gouache, ink;
Submissions MUST be ready to hang with secure fixings, (for example with d rings and cord) and be available for the period of the competition exhibition, this being until 22nd June 2023;
It is understood by the council that all submitting Artists hold the intellectual property rights to their paintings but submitting Artists MUST agree to the free use of images taken of their work as part of the council’s recording of this competition, exhibition, and for the future use of such images on any associated digital platforms and print when the Artists will receive full recognition as the owners of the images used;
The council reserves the right to not include work that could be considered offensive or contentious details of which can be provided, if requested;
All submissions MUST be made via www.ISLANDartscentre.com or in-person to the Arts Reception at ISLAND Arts Centre, The Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL;
The deadline for all submissions MUST be on or before 12 noon on Tuesday 2nd May 2023, after which time entries will not be accepted;
All submissions included in the exhibition MUST be collected from ISLAND Arts Centre by 4pm on Friday 30th June 2023. The council will not be liable for any submissions not collected after this time and date.
