ISLAND Children’s Arts Festival - ‘25 Years in the Making!’ The ISLAND Carnival Takeover Week 1

Carnival / Dance / Drama / Junk Art Don’t just watch the show, be the show! Jump into an action-packed week of circus skills, dance, and drama as our Summer Carnival comes alive! From exciting workshops to the festival finale, every child gets their moment to shine and exhibit their own work in the ISLAND Arts Gallery.

Activities Include: Walk the tightrope (low level) and test your balance like a real circus performer. Hula hoop your way to fun, learning tricks and rhythms of classic carnival movement. Design bold carnival masks, full of colour, feathers, and personality. Learn mime and physical theatre, telling stories through movement and expression. Create colourful ribbon wands and explore movement through dance and play.

Each day is packed with hands-on activities, and we wrap up each week with our legendary ‘Fun Friday Birthday Party’ featuring music, popcorn and cake.

A little reminder for our festival attendees: Please bring a packed lunch and water bottle to stay refreshed and keep those creative energy levels up!
